CAIRNSMILL CARAVAN PARK
With great regret ……
*This is the prepared statement we have been advised to issue with immediate effect*
These are unprecedented times. We all have a responsibility to consider not just ourselves but to the people of our country, the local community and on this park.
We are having to make decisions and take actions which were unimaginable a few days ago.
We are closing with immediate effect all facilities on the park.
We ask private owners on the park not to stay in your holiday caravan at this time and to be sensitive towards the views and needs of the local community and NHS.
The time for you to leave in a safe and orderly way is limited.
If there is any reason why you cannot leave, you need to discuss that with us now.
Over the last 24 hours, there has been an increasing and understandable concern in local communities towards the owners of second homes and caravans, as well as holiday visitors. The government’s clear guidance is that there must be no unnecessary or non-essential travel.
We ask private owners who are not on the park not to come here, and if you are on the park please go home. We are following the Government’s guidance so closing to protect you and wider society.
We will be contacting customers over the next few days to offer alternative dates or process refunds. Please bear with us as we begin this task.
We are forever grateful for our customers support and will be working hard to be ready to resume business just as soon as this crisis passes; we will be making every effort to ensure our staff are looked after during this period.
We urge you to please co-operate at this difficult time. We are sorry that things have come to this but hope that we can rely on you to stick to these guidelines so we can keep everyone as safe as we can. Hopefully this will pass sooner rather than later, and we will be seeing you soon. We will of course update whenever we have more news. Wishing you all the best at this difficult time, stay safe.
Kindest regards The Kirkaldy family and staff at Cairnsmill.

St Andrews, the Mecca of golf is an ancient and beautiful burgh. Legend tells that the relics of the apostle Andrew were brought to Scotland by St. Regulus who, having been shipwrecked off the Fife coast, founded a church on the site where the town now stands. St. Andrew was to become the patron saint of Scotland.
St. Andrews can be explored best on foot, the combination of Medieval, Victorian and Edwardian streets forming one of the most attractive towns in Britain. Visitors will be amazed to find famous landmarks such as the Castle, Cathedral, University and Harbour alongside a variety of shops, restaurants, theatres, museums and art galleries.
Sporting facilities in the town are second to none, with watersports, bowling, putting, tennis, swimming, squash and sea-angling amongst those catered for.
North East Fife has something for everyone, young and old alike. Whether you are planning a relaxing break or an action packed activity holiday, there's a warm welcome awaiting you.
The nearest Railway Station for the park is Leuchars with a good taxi and bus service
